The Bayside Inn is a charming, budget-friendly property celebrated for its prime location, incredible sunsets, and exceptionally friendly, professional staff. However, guests report significant issues regarding outdated/motel-like standards, poor maintenance (particularly with hygiene and the building infrastructure), and false advertising regarding some amenities.

I'm not sure where to start .so bu I'll start with tamikia the wonderful underpaid froundesk clerk who did everything an I mean everything to fix all the problems we had to management she should be far more valued then she is amazing. So with the everything thing else #1 our room was not what we expected the beds are so hard its like box springs but where clean they did not provide trash bags ..#2 the roosters are so darn loud at 330 till 6 am.#3 we where told it was Beach frount the so called beach is gross cigarette butts everywhere beer cans the water is flooded with moss an upside down jelly fish they don't warn you about. The kayaks where litter with hold a poor lady sunk twice two different kayaks .the pool had a sign saying it was being cleaned the the men that had the gear to do so where playing ping pong once they opened the pool its was foggy..#4 trashing around the dock its self like solo cups cans cigarettes my husband an self took a day to clean it up the next day 3 manatees came in . I'm sure with proper management an grounds keepers picked up they're game like tamekia it would be breath taking

Come for the sunsets! ? Lovely place and location, rooms basic but plenty of space and everything you need- no regular cleaning. More like a motel set up. Room dark- side view of the sea. TJ at reception was delightful at check in and check out. Short ( 30 second) walk to the beach/ water- free access to Paddleboards and kayaking, games and hammocks which was such fun. Sit for sunset and a hour after to see that beautiful sky change colour. So romantic! Close to lots of lovely bars and restaurants- all within walking distance. Snookys bar fun! 5 minute drive to John Pennekamp Coral reef state park for snorkelling and scuba diving. Close to Wild bird sanctuary and Dolphin life- all recommended stops. Overall a great place.

Let's put it this way.. a great layover place on your way to the Keys.. rooms need help, at the location and staff is amazing! JT was not only running the front desk, when other staff members forgot to bring towels, she said come with me honey, And gave me extra, fixing up little things here and there with the property along the way.. and thanks JT for the extra water! The people make the property plain and simple.

I recently stayed here with my mom for a get away from the snow. We got lucky with beautiful weather in February! I’m going to start off with the positives. The location was great! It’s right off the Highway, in walking distance to some shops if you forgot things! You can walk and ride the bikes to local restaurants and snooks right next door is great and you get 10% off your bill. The sunset views were perfect!! The beds are actually very comfortable! (But the pillows are smaller than a throw pillow on your couch) Some negatives for us were; The late check in. We wanted to be able to shower before dinner but ended up not being able to get into our room until 4:30. (They waived our “resort fee” for the first night to cover this convenience, I come to find out at check out that they do this often and plan to extend check in until 4pm..) When we finally got into our room on the 3rd floor we were told the elevator was not working. The really nice and only person who worked there without an attitude towards me, was this really nice girl with long braids that checked us in. She actually helped me carry my bags to our room because my mom just broke her ankle a few months ago so carrying our bags to the 3rd floor was a lot of steps for her. The shower pressure was just dripping out (see video) The AC didn’t really cool the room down(we also spoke to other guest who said the same) yes cold air comes out but it got really hot to a point you’d wake up in a sweat and then get cold. The pool/ beach towels were never in the spot they should have been. You had to go ask and 1 day the one morning (9:30am) we got the last two that were clean!! The beach was mostly dirt. It definitely could have used some fresh sand. The pool and “beach” areas didn’t get reset and cleaned until 10:30am (if they even did, on Monday they never got cleaned up and reset ) The trash cans were full and over flowing with trash. The corn hole game didn’t have enough bags to play properly. The seats on the dock and beach are were so hard you butt would go dumb after 20 minutes. It was hard to get comfortable and relax. I had to walk past the housemaids cleaning and step over trash bags and bags full of dirty laundry at multiple points of the day. The cabanas were never cleaned and reset in our 4 days stay. This place has a lot of room for potential but unfortunately they were not prepared for being booked out & it was not at all what I expected from their website and online. It was definitely more of an inn/ motel vs a resort. & I honestly didn’t appreciate the attitude from most of the employees. I’m paying top dollar to get away and stay at a “resort” I do expect a certain experience and this was not it. I hope they can take this as constructive criticism and try better.

So many reasons to leave this awful review…because it’s well deserved. 1. Our flights were cancelled and we notified them 24 hours in advance that we would arrive 1 day later than expected and they wouldn’t remove the charge for the night we no longer needed. 2. Upon check in our reserved rooms were given to someone else so we got different rooms that had no sheets on the bed and the mattress was flipped. They gave us dirty rooms. 3. When we went back to tell them about the dirty rooms, we got new rooms that were missing a coffee machine and the other room was missing a TV. 4. The room had dirty towels and the service was non existent. The wouldn’t refund the original booking or rate for the ocean front room. We got views of the parking lot and charged for an ocean front rate. There was no negotiation on refunds. 5. I stepped out on the balcony to smoke a cigarette put it out and threw it in the trash. I didn’t want to litter over the balcony so they charged me $250 for smoking in the room (I did not). I’m disputing this. 6. Elevator was down and WiFi was down. I couldn’t take it anymore and had to leave early to find a real hotel. Worst experience I have ever had and the worst place to vacation. Don’t do it.

Stayed here many times and always a good experience. Right in the middle of the gateway to the keys and the middle keys so perfect location. Many amenities and beautiful facilities. Great rooms with king beds close to the water. Bayside Inn and its staff are great! As close to 5 star service without the price as it gets with professionalism and knowing how to perform business. Thank you TJ and Monet. More than satisfied. Keep up the great work. Highly recommend.

This is such a lovely hotel right on the sea front . The rooms are spacious and although no balcony you don’t need one as plenty of places to sit by the waterside and the pool . There are two restaurants with a good atmosphere and nice food next door but no noise from them. You are within walking distance to lots of shops and supermarkets. The staff were brilliant - excellent communication before our stay and even offered to look after our luggage . Would definitely recommend

TJ was very kind and there was great service. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The property has bikes and paddle boards for the guests use, which was very fun for us. We will certainly be back.

small, quaint motel. Definitely gives you the Keys vibe. The back side is perfect place to view sunset. Would definitely stay again. Restaurant/bar called Snooks right next door. They allow pets also.

We had a great time at Bayside! Sherry and TJ were very helpful and the rooms were a great deal. We loved renting snorkeling gear from the dive shop and paddle boarding with the manatees. Although the beach was small it was one of the nicest ones around (we checked out the local public beach…don’t waste your time.) The only complaint was that paddle boards and kayak were advertised however they only had 2 ocean paddle boards for the whole place. Kayaks would have been nice as advertised.
