I really eanted to leave a good review because I wanted this place to be as awesome as it looks. It's beautiful. But if you are staying in a regular room, it sucks. Their hospitality lacks big time. They do not clean your room or empty your trash. We were here for a week. We asked for a refresh and were rudely told they don't clean your room there. Okay but we still need towels, tp, coffee, etc. they brought us a big trash bag with those things in them and my husband forced the guy to take a couple bags of garbage. Normally when you check into a place someone gives you the rundown on how things work. We received zero info and because we were exhausted from traveling for over 24 hours to get there we didn't think to ask. Need ice? You get to stand in line at the front desk so they can bag it up for you. Weird. Our room had the most mini fridge you can have and no microwave. Sucked not being able to heat up leftovers. We went to the beach most days and our floor had sand on it. Because there is no broom and dust pan in the room, it meant we had sand in our bed. That's fun. The room is not meant for you to be comfy in. The bed is many inches from the headboard so your pillows can't be stacked to rest against it. Normally wouldn't be staying in the room but i caught a nasty cold mid trip so needed to rest. The pool is open 24/7 so don't believe google on that. Keep your pool towels because it's unclear when they have someone out at the pool with towels and once you are out there you aren't going to want to run to the front desk. The concierge was fantastic and she really impressed us! Super helpful and kind. I booked this trip as a package through expedia, which i never do, and will never do again. Next time I will do better research. We had no view and no balcony. What a huge letdown but my own fault. There isn't really a beach here so don't be fooled on that either. It's a small spot of sand on a marina.

The entire staff was professional, courteous and prompt. The room maintenance person was exceptional. The room itself was very nice. My only negative was the overall lack of maintenance with the grounds. There was not enough pool lounge chairs and the umbrellas were all broken. Also, the landscaping needs some work. Overall I would rate this resort as a 3.5. Not quite a 4 but more than a 3.

Waitstaff was friendly, food was excellent.The facility is very dated and in much need of repairs and upgrades. We booked the Presidential 3 bedroom suite for 5 nights. When we arrived they said the elevator in our building did not work. Our room was on the second floor so you’d think they would make some adjustment to our room rate… Nope. We asked if they had another suite in another building… Nope. Wouldn’t you think renting the presidential suite for 5 days for $9,000 + for the room and 700 + for food and drinks you’d get at least offered room service…. Nope. We asked to have a late checkout at 2:00 or 3:00 because most of our family had late flights home and were told they could do 11:00, asked the next day 12:00, asked the final day after bringing up the broken elevator and no room service, they said 12:30. An employee told us our room was not even booked for our departure date. I watched and the cleaning people did not do our room until much later than our check out time. So frustrating! I think the hotel employees are fine, but the management of this hotel needs a wake up call on customer service and the staff needs to be better trained. This property has more ants in the units than chickens on the property. I’d check for another hotel if you are planning a trip to the Keys.

For anyone reading the other reviews, I'm happy to say that they fixed the beach and pool chairs! We were there in the off season but it was so wonderful! The hotel is well kept and clean. The pool and patio area are great with nice lighting and music. The beach, albeit small, was secluded and peaceful. With a shuttle that goes downtown and to the southern most point (but not to the airport, so plan for that) it made it so easy to enjoy Key West and the Hemingway House is walking distance from the shuttle drop off. The local grocery store delivers to the hotel as well. Our room had a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a washer/dryer. The food was delicious in the tavern but pretty expensive. The cleaning staff swing by daily. Even if you clean up yourself, you should let them in at least every couple of days to get the marble floors free from sand. All in all, it was a magical experience and Beachside Resort was a huge part of that.

We had the most relaxing time in a long while in our four days stay. Great place, not too busy enough people, but not too many. John was a wonderful server while we Lounged around the pool and relaxed. The food at the tavern was amazing! We had breakfast every day there and dinner a couple times. Excellently prepared and served, it was a fantastic experience. They don’t have a shuttle to pick you up from the airport, but they do have a free shuttle to take you into town and pick you up all in all. It really was the most relaxing vacation I’ve had in years. Thanks everybody.

The apartments at Beachside Resort & Residences are absolutely amazing! My family and I (5 adults) stayed in a 3 bedroom unit and the chairs, the bed, and the tubs and showers were all upscale. I did not feel like I was in a hotel, but rather a luxury home. The Staff were exceptionally accommodating, and simply accessible via phone text. The pool and jacuzzi were well maintained, and there was plenty of covered parking on the property. We did not eat at the restaurant, but I did take a peek at the menu and everything looked "delectable." While there is not much of a beach, due to the property being on the Gulf side of Key West, I highly recommend this place for the upscale residences being offered. The value provided is worth it...

This was my first time in key west and the resort was a bit far from down town. The rooms were amazing and very spacious. Housekeeping never came to turn around the rooms. Didn’t even ask us if we needed anything. The resort is very neglected especially the pool area. Chair and umbrella falling apart. Also Not enough chairs for the volume of guests. The website makes it seem like there is a beach but no such thing. There is a beach like area with sand but that is it. We also had an incident where our friend is physically handicapped and the elevator kept going out of order. No back up system. The resort restaurant was amazing. Very pricey but amazing. The manager was amazing and very on top of the no elevator situation. Don’t think I would stay here again but had an amazing time in Key west.

We had a great stay here for a moderately sized family gathering over Thanksgiving! The kitchens were perfectly furnished such that we were able to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal and the rooms were big enough to fit all of us! The staff was very responsive and several times brought things to our rooms when contacted via text message. The kids loved the fishing pier and pool area. Overall great stay!

Hotel was great. Staff was great for the most part. I just have a complaint about the complimentary shuttle. The shuttle service is great, however the driver is very rude and condescending. We arrived 20 minutes before the time it was scheduled to leave, due to the lack of coordination with the people waiting for the shuttle and the shuttle driver being absolutely useless and yelling at people, we weren’t able to make it on the shuttle even though we were one of the first people there. We had to take an $80 uber into town. There definitely needs to be better coordination. It’s ashame that the resort was so great, but we will not return because of how ridiculous the shuttle driver acted. People should not be rewarded for their bad behavior by being able to keep their job. Did let the front desk know about the incident, and they were apologetic, but that doesn’t make it right.

We really enjoyed our stay at Beachside. The staff are great, always helpful. Special note for Joseph, Endra, Gigi, and the crew for the Sunset Cruise. If you stay here, you have to see Bob at the poolside bar Chicken Walk. He's funny, personable, and makes a great drink. Ok this place is not on the Beach, but its location is great, right when you get on the key. There is plenty of covered parking, with EV charging. While you are about three miles from Old Town, the hourly shuttle makes it convenient to get around. The on-site Tavern-n-Town makes great food. We made a habit to get breakfast with Endra before hopping on the shuttle for a day downtown.
